John Kasich immediately comes to mind.
Our world would have been so much better off if Kasich had gotten the GOP nomination in 2016.
    Would he have won???

Kasich and Romney have effectively been run out of the party. Romney of course was forced to eat snails in front of news cameras to be allowed back in the presence of Fatfuck.

Why the U.S. advancing in the World Cup is bad news for Joe Biden.

No way to know for sure, but I doubt Kasich brings out what now is the trump base (and Obama-trump voters, which I still don't understand how they exist). It seems unlikely he would've won, IMO.

2005 against a Muslim cleric in northern Virginia, according to WaPo.

And there aren’t many legitimate Republicans still out there. Romney, Kinzinger, perhaps Cheney. Larry Hogan has always struck me as a weird cat. Charlie Baker doesn’t know what he is anymore. He probably could’ve run as an independent and won a third term in Mass.

It was a mixed bag, but at least Rhodes is going away for seditious conspiracy and all were convicted of something.

He was an independent except in name. But since he decided not to run again, for what is rumored to be extremely personal reasons (general fear of succumbing to dementia because he suffered the death of a parent from that cause) Baker has completely checked out from state government, reminiscent of Bush 43 in 2008.
