Gonna pull back on this for a second to view a larger point. And this is in no way directed at Batman.

Think for a second. The crowd that has been bleating “Fake News” since the Orange Stain oozed down that hideous fake gold escalator in 2015, is now kneeling to the NEW YORK FUCKING POST as the cradle of journalistic integrity.

It’s not hard to believe why rational people know this whole thing is bullshit.

Not to mention that a lawsuit could lead to unwanted things coming out in discovery.

Not necessarily illegal activity or politically damaging activity for President Biden, but certainly more embarrassing activity.

Due respect to the relevant parties, but I'm not sure the Taibbi thread demonstrates - much less proves - anything.

Except that Elon Musk doesn't understand the 1st Amendment.

Is twitter a platform or a publisher? Thats what I’m concerned with. They’re a platform and its their job to get the fuck out of the way and let publishers determine their content.

It is not their job to regulate what is and isnt publishable and when they waded into that in the fall of 2020 it was fucked up. You cant make that unfucked up because getting rid of Trump is a righteous cause.

And from the docs at least a few Dems see to agree, rep Khanna being one

Oh hey look! It’s the silly “Repeal Section 230!” Argument.

Twitter is under no obligation to host any nonsense on their servers.

Some of y’all are so damn thirsty for Joe Biden to get kicked to the curb in disgrace that you will roll around in pig shit and pretend it doesn’t stink.

No platform is under any obligation to post anything.

Ironically, the Taibbi piece makes Twitter a publisher as well.

    Sad trombone, etc.

Curious as to the conditions Taibbi had to agree to in order to get the story. One would think they would be laid out.

Obligated? Legally no. There’s a certain public trust that comes with being what they are they broke it.

If you’re fine with it bc Trump’s worse my point is they’re gonna break it again for far less righteous causes and then what?

Taibbi is circling the counter-reality / Glenn Greenwald drain.
