There have also been a ton of parties dragging their feet. Minnesota had a state law specifically banning it until about 2019. It's kind of a great combination of anti-PATRIOT Act spooks and right-wing gubmint haters.

 

No Democrat can do it, but maybe Liz Cheney could introduce an official House Resolution to the effect of, "in keeping with the publicly expressed opinions of President Donald Trump, we call for the termination of the Constitution of the United States."

The Democrats can then counter, "In light of the fact there are established procedures for seeking desired changes in statute law and the Constitution, we call for immediate prosecution, expulsion from public office and permanent ineligibility for any future offices, for any individuals calling for the extralegal evasion, suspension or termination of any such laws. FAFO."
