Elon Musk takes over Twitter

I was a good sport and gave it a brief read. They lost me at “Twitter was mean to Alex Berenson!”

 

This is some BS with an ad being the first post in your feed every time you refresh your TL.

 

I’ve started blocking whatever is promoted at the top of my refreshed feed. Just for fun, really. Want to see how low it can go. Maybe Al’s Discount Dress Barn by next week.

 

I somehow managed to avoid that. I used to have ads at the bottom of pages, but I can't remember the last time I saw one on here.

EDIT: I just ran an experiment. With Chrome, ads are there. But I use Brave browser 99% of the time. It says it has blocked 379,222 trackers and ads on my desktop since I installed it about a year ago, another 118,000 on my phone.

 

Weird thing happened to me. I blocked a promoted tweet from a T-Mobile exec. An hour later, her tweet showed back up in my feed. So I blocked her again. Let’s see if the second block sticks!
