Running 2022-23 NCAA Basketball Thread

They are playing about a 20 minute drive from my front door and I didn’t realize they were in town until the tournament was underway. I have seen zilch marketing.

Hogs were +22 in the first half of the last two games against A&M. But -34 in the last two second halves. A 56-point deviation.

Even that doesn't excuse an assistant being an asshole.

 

A student paper, of course, so from what I read here, par for the course in the SEC.

Shoutout to the Norfolk Scope, the first arena I’ve seen with four different 3-point lines painted on the floor.

 

Vandy on an all-time heater, takes down Big Blue to advance to the SEC semifinals.

 

Kentucky had maybe a puncher's chance late in the game and gacked 3 straight free throws when behind.

 

I'm sure his dad is looking down from the heavens and beaming proudly. Or maybe he's looking up -- I honestly don't know.

 

You have a few Division I conferences that no one even hears about until they check in on a 1-16 matchup in the opening round, but I think the WAC is in a category of its own as far as irrelevance. Nobody (including me) can believe it's still operating. It's like the college basketball equivalent of those online sites bearing the name of defunct retails chains (i.e. K-mart, Circuit City) because they were able to pick up the domain name.
