    Poor @maumann
Game slowed down when Tigers gave up seven in the third
    Through 12 innings, Rays 12, Tigers 0

I guess A.J. Hinch isn't as good of a manager when he's not not doing anything about his players cheating.

Got the Mets game on during work. I just really like the brisk pace with the pitch clock. I'm eager to see it in person in a few weeks when I can get to the ballpark.

The broadcast doesn't seem altered or rushed. Though the Mets' SNY crew is many notches above most baseball broadcasts.

Apropos of nothing, I have a new favorite baseball expression:

    Piss rocket.

According the announcers, Shohei and the new A's pitcher -- Shintaro Fujinami -- went to rival high schools in Japan. They faced each other there and during their pro careers in Japan. Shohei nearly hit a grand slam in the 11-run third, missed going over the fence by about a foot.

So the best argument I've read here against the new rules is that announcers don't have time for all the ad reads.

I've read some wild shit from @BYH 2: Electric Boogaloo over the years, but this is one of his greatest.

Orioles led Red Sox 7-1 in the third. Led 8-7 with two out, none on in the bottom of the ninth. Routine fly ball to left. Dropped. Next guy: dinger. Game over.
At least six catchable fly balls in two games that were not caught.
Not that tough. Finish the deal.

A.) I said nothing about the announcers and the ad reads.

B.) Remember my Mike Scioscia rants? Didn't take you long to come around there! The same will happen here. So let it be typed, so let it be done.

My oldest, a big dodgers fan, told me last night that he doesn't like it. So there are some of you around, not unlike flat earthers, election truthers, and people who hate Canadian bacon/pineapple pizza.
