It would be a wild, wild life.

 

I doubt that Rupert and Fox are turning over some new leaf of integrity, but perhaps he had enough of Carlson's mixture of outright lies and clown show delivery that makes the entire organization a laughing stock outside of its viewers.

Muddle the truth as long as the ratings are good = OK.
Make the old man look bad = the line in the sand.

Rupert tossed O'Reilly aside after spending millions on NDAs - but when he realized he could put any clown in that seat and do ok he was gond. Same with Carlson. Your job is to make Rupert money, not make him write checks.

 

The whackjobs are already claiming Fox News is now woke. They are celebrating the stock’s drop.

 

It is a crazy time in the right-wing media landscape - there really hasn't been a "big dog" since Limbaugh. Most of the past leading voices institutionally (WSJ, Heritage Foundation) have been shoved aside for Trumpian "thought leaders." It's a mess.
