Mine the Jerry Jeff Walker vein. It's rich with both up-tempo and comtemplative stuff.

(Oh, you already did it. Well, um, cue up Leslie Nielson "we're all counting on you" clip from "Airplane!")

I recognize I'm gonna catch an amazing amount of mostly justified shit when my playlist goes live. Just remember, 54 minutes of music but 100 plus years of country to choose from.

Also covered nicely by Nick Lowe.

Hi, everyone and thanks again. Was on the Vineyard yesterday and taped my segment. I believe it went well. as the DJ said she'd have to take another look at country music. My hour will be broadcast on Monday, May 22 at 9 p.m. on MVY radio 88.7 FM and whatever it is on the internet. I could never have done this without the help of this group in suggesting music I needed.
Don't worry. This message will be repeated as we get closer to May 22. Rupert did own the Boston Herald when I was there for couple years. I am hip to how propaganda works.

and I'm REALLY late to the party but just wanted to point out Old 55 is Tom Waits, not Jackson Browne, although the Eagles may have done it, too

Yeah, that was an error. The Eagles covered it on "On The Border". Waits wrote it and didn't much like what the Eagles did with the song.

After all these years I still love Tom Waits' "Heart of Saturday Night" album.

those first two are still probably my favorites along with Mule and Small Change but they all have something serious to offer

That's correct. And Waits didn't care for that attempt, either.
