Yeah, America never gave it a thought before 1980. Never mind the half-dozen wars we did launch before then.

Heck, we had soldiers fighting the Red Army four years before the formal existence of the USSR.

 

Reagan was a horrible president, though, as history has shown. Prove that wrong.

 

WWII was a big help in "beating the Depression" and FDR did win that, the others? Poverty, communism, Disney, the war on drugs? About as winnable as Afghanistan.

 

Sad!

 

I hope someone in the GOP debates peppers their answers with Disney references. "Well Governor, it's a small world..." "We don't all have fairy godmothers like Cinderella" , "It's a good thing you're not made of wood Gov. because your nose would be growing" - maybe even drop in a "Jiminy Crickets!" as an explanation.

 

Here I always thought Reagan's war was against poor people.
