I feared this after I saw he canceled his tour
    Saw him four times
Maybe the best writer of everyone
    Bob Dylan thought so
Here’s an example from one of his early songs

In a cage she danced for him although 100 eyes were turned her way

As she walks she waits for him the pavement is a shoulder for her tears

    RIP Gord

Lightfoot was commissioned to write a song for the Canadian centennial in 1967
Canadian historian Pierre Berton said of the song: “He had more of Canada’s history in it than I did in my books.”

One of my all-time favorites. Saw him twice. Just pulled out a greatest hits CD to listen to in my car earlier today.

CRT is just a super song, he recorded about three versions of it and they all are outstanding.

"Summer Side of Life" is probably my favorite album. "Mountains and Marian," "Affair on 8th Avenue," "Circle of Steel" and "Old Dan's Records" are among my favorite songs.

A true legend. I think he was a big Leafs fan.

"Is the home team still on fire? Do they still win all their games?"
