    Oilers playing their eighth game
    Draisaitl has 13 goals
Plus McDavid with a shortie and it’s 4-0 Oilers

Yeah, the Kraken TV voice ... used to be Hurricanes' voice and did/does some stuff for TNT.

He alone is among the biggest reasons I am not a Kraken fan, even though they are the closest geographically to where I live.

Takes all sorts. And while he doesn't play and doesn't affect whether or not a team wins or loses, he was about the only thing worth tuning in for years when the team could barely figure out how to put its skates on and ownership continued to hamstring Jim Rutherford and later Ron Francis. Walked the line carefully between blasting the team, while not trying to coddle poor play.

Was treated horribly by new ownership in Raleigh. One call he took soon after the mess with the organization was from Francis, who didn't try to angle for him to move to Seattle – at least right away. But it worked into that over the next few months. Good for both of them. Sorry you disagree.

The Stars are really brittle right now. Their top players (Pavelski, Heiskanen) keep getting banged up.

Of course, catching a puck in the gob might do that to you, but that never stopped Howe or Esposito. They spat chiclets and played on.

Yeah, in addition to doing "some stuff" for TNT, called "some stuff" on NBC (NBCSN) for several years. Heck, I recall him doing "some stuff" on ESPN years ago. He's a comer, that John Forslund.

It’s hockeys national conspiracy day. The draft lottery is tonight and regardless of who wins the Connor Bedard sweepstakes they cry's of fixing will be heard.

God almighty, I just read a story that had 10 candidates the Rangers might look at. ... and the first name was Mike Babcock.

This looks like a particularly weak time to have a head coaching vacancy.

They might be best off going with Kris Knoblauch, who coaches their AHL affiliate.

Babcock?! Hell, just go all the way and bring back Keenan.

Babcock went back to coach University hockey in Saskatchewan, hoping it would be his redemption arc. He barely lasted one year when he realized it wasn’t going to work.

I’d be shocked if he got another offer. He’s been out of it for a while, but as we’ve learned it only takes one team.

I heard Babcock on a late-night call-in show recently. He sounded like a slobbering old man, drooling onto his bib.
