They’re the people who hate anything “0ther” the most. Jealous, hateful humps who reserve any and all admiration for the people and actions that provide a vessel for all their antisocial impulses.

 

There is always age-appropriate topics and restraint must be shown there.

But that’s where it should begin and end. These people want a very whitewashed education. Had a woman get up at a board meeting and deride what her kid is being taught about Christianity because we leave out “the truth of the virgin birth.” No we don’t. We just don’t sell it as truth because we require silly things like evidence. Same woman was claiming we sell Buddhism harder because we show the glorious pictures and not ones of Jesus.

It isn’t our job to evangelize. It’s our job to put it all in context. But they don’t want that. It’s Jesus and only Jesus. And they make up some false oppressive narrative to justify not talking about homosexuality and gender identity. The reality is if students want a Christian club on campus, they can get it. If they want to wear crucifixes, they can. If they want to pray at lunch and read a Bible, we’re not stopping them. I’m just not going to lead class in prayer or tell kids about the “truths” of Christianity. Never mind those “truths” depend on your particular denomination. But narratives and asking questions.

There is no white privilege. There was no race problems. There are no gay people. This is what they want.

Just to be able to screech: What kind of people are we allowing to go onto that premise? And what is their actual purpose there?”

"You're Christians, correct?"
"Yes. Amen."
"You adhere (I know, that's a big word) to the teachings of Jesus Christ, correct?"
"YEAH. Praise the Lord."
"So you agree that you should treat others the way you want to be treated?"
