The Pell City Board of Education has approved a base teaching salary for recently hired head football coach Rush Propst, who began his duties in the school system April 10.

The board unanimously approved a “supplemental agreement,” that includes a compensation package of $128,000 per year, which is broken down into 12 monthly installments.

Every community thinks they'll be the one that will either tame wild Rush or won't be the one where he eats their face.

My town hired one of these guys on short notice in 2009, and he won greatly for 4 years but that fifth year where it all fell apart was a doozy. Even worse, the next guy up caught the exodus and was lucky to get a pair of 1-9's (one was a forfeit).
