Maybe it makes me a hypocrite, but I been wearing my father’s crucifix (the one he was wearing when I held his hand as he died) and yet will have to shed it tomorrow when I have a full body PET scan. I am only terrified when I write or pronounce what Im going through; I’m otherwise benumbed.

Tonight is my wife’s birthday and we had a good time, but last night I was drunk and a shit, not dealing well. The shame makes me want to kill myself. And yet I never will. Im an asshole and selfish and insensitive, yes, but im redeemable and dammit just pray for my family.

 

Hang in there, man. Hoping for good news tomorrow. And find solace and comfort wherever you can. I'm not religious either but when I had my first surgery ever a couple years ago, I found solace and comfort in making sure I prayed to my late Mom as they gave me the sweet sweet anesthesia.

 

No shit I been watching Near Death Experience videos on YouTube. This is hell, brass tacks, and I dont wish it on anyone, ever.

It’s also an inappropriate topic for friends, family, and familiars.

I don’t know what to pray or hope for anymore. I aint no bitch; but this is beyond.
