Did they attend medical schools that received absolutely no local, state or federal tax support? Of course they didn't. Did they receive low-interest, federally-back student loans to pay for medical school? Probably.

Someone should offer the trade: DiFi for Mitch. Let both their replacements in. Mitch's replacement has to be a Republican, per KY rules.

That kind of backroom horse trading is the stuff that would royally piss off the MAGAs - which is another reason to do it.

I wonder what the rules say about the speed at which the governor has to replace. DeSantis left an entire congressional district without representation for a year and a half because he wouldn't call for the special election.
Let the Kentucky Rs put forth a name and then the gov get around to acting on it in his own good time.

I'm not even suggesting any ratfuckery. Just an honest trade.

According to the story I read, right before freezing he was asked about running for re-election in 2026.
I'll put him down for a No.

I legitimately get sweats seeing that screen thinking of the times this happened while on deadline.

Dead man walking. But each party has so many geezers get elected they refuse to use age as a campaign issue. Which they clearly should.

And yes, this includes Biden. He's too old. And the Republicans have every right to use it as an issue. It's up to him to diffuse it.
