We had real rain in Microville today, the first time since early June. Of course, I had to drive up 1-5 to Keizer to pick something up, and I-5 is absolutely horrible in the rain.

Is Fox demanding Biden visit the disaster scene?

The odds of me being stranded at Burning Man, dying in a halfass submarine going to Titanic, or being attacked by a kraken in my shower are exactly the same.

    Fyre Fest 2?
Ironically, at Burning Man ... and caused by rain?

We have forecast highs of 82 both today and tomorrow. After that, the extended forecast has highs every day between 75-77. Hopefully that means the heat has broken for the year.

It's been an extremely dry fall here and yes, our average first snow is Oct. 18. But it's coming in this weekend. Up to a foot or more in the high country and we'll get some down here on Saturday and into Sunday morning. But the cold. Oh, I hate the bitter cold. It won't get out of the 20s for Broncos-Chiefs on Sunday and a low of 9 -- NINE -- on Monday morning.

Which is why I live in the South. I can deal with the heat a lot better than that sort of cold. If I want to see snow I'll go visit.
