James McMurtry (with a band) at a venue that held about 200. Great show, good mix of songs with a couple of solo acoustic efforts mixed in. Lyrics are just amazing.

$25 and I’d have paid triple.

Should I plan on seeing the Eagles on the farewell tour? One band I've always wanted to see. Having Fagen open for them and having Vince Gill sitting in seems like a bonus. I know there will be no dancers or fireworks, they pretty much just play and cash the checks - but still. Looking at $175.
Oddly enough - there seem to be plenty of tickets available for an Oct. 10 show in Indy at the Fieldhouse - surprising this close in.

I saw them in the company box here in Toronto last September. Had never seen them before - saw Don Henley on the Building the Perfect Beast tour a million years ago - and you're right, no frills, no pyro, but it was a very good show. We got Vince Gill and for a couple songs, Deacon Frey.

Bonnie Raitt on Monday night in Calgary.
Have seen her 3 times and she is as good as it gets.

I really need to see Bonnie. Always loved her and never pulled the trigger for seeing her live.

I feel like "Love Me Like a Man" might the best the sexiest song ever.

Bonnie is essential, totally underrated is her cover of Randy Newman’s “Guilty”(I’ve Been Drinking).

Bonnie Raitt is playing nearby in October. Second-row mezzanine seats are $600-plus. Far-back balcony seats are $250.

We’re working a high school band marching contest that night, so ticket prices are a moo point anyway.

If you want to see an artist with all of Raitt's talent at a fraction of the price, check out Ruthie Foster. Here's a video of them together. Foster's website says she's touring.

I will check her out, but no way does she have all of Bonnie Raitt’s talent.

We saw Ruthie Foster a few months back. Had great seats on the second row. Her show was all kinds of awesome.

Back in the USA for a few weeks. Saw Isbell at the Ryman last night. Expectations were high. The 400 Unit exceeded them.

    Saw them this summer.

I can’t believe how tight that band is.

I think Will Johnson is a permanent member now, which is great for extended guitar duels and solos.

Who was on bass? Jimbo Hart has been gone for quite a while now, and I haven’t heard anything about a return.
