I've heard it pronounced all three ways within two counties, and sometimes differently within the same extended family.

 

It appears Fox's televised Speaker debate is off. Thank goodness. That would've been a shitshow. Now maybe they can agree on someone who isn't a total lunatic. Slim pickings, but maybe.

And to add to other posts, Liz Cheney definitely a non-starter. She told the truth about trump, and that's disqualifying in today's trumplican party.

I've never agreed with any of Liz's views, other than trump/Jan. 6, and I still don't. But it's mind-boggling a hard-line, principled conservative republican is on the outs with her party and got destroyed in Wyoming.

 

1. Legal vs. illegal. We take plenty of legal immigrants and have a system in place to do so.
2. We needed them then. We were building a country from scratch. And they were on their own to sink or swim. If they sank, the government wasn't going to provide for them.

The NYT put the story about Trump allegedly sharing nuclear sub secrets on page 13!?!

 

I live in an agricultural area of the West, and we need immigrant workers now. Cherries, pears, hops and apples, among other crops, would not be harvested in 2023 without the H-2A workers.

 

And this is supposed to be the funny and less angry one.
