Tally a ferro always got a "you ain't from 'round here" look where I came from.

Maybe it's more of an old southern family thing. Someone who moved to the south after say 1950, 1960, maybe not so much.

Somewhere earlier on this thread I posted about this Times behavior before this happened. They didn't break the story, therefore it isn't big news. It's about as arrogant an institution as the Supreme Court, and this kind of behavior is journalistic corruption born of that arrogance.

I like to think it's a good sign for Biden if it comes down to turnout, b/c he benefited in a pandemic and you have to think the demos are in his favor. But who fucking knows.

Trump didn't try to build the wall to keep them out.

He's trying to build it to keep us in.

Just wondering why your area needs "immigrant" workers and not just 'workers.''

There is a fair number of Arkansas communities that got invaded by a ton of Illinois transplants in the 1970s and 1980s, some of which were retirees and others which brought families.

It's a matter of who is willing to do the work. Go down to Homestead and take a look at the tomato-picking crews down there. And see how they live.

New Florida Immigration Rules Start to Strain Some Businesses

Florida counts on a large foreign-born population to help power its economy. An estimated 770,000 undocumented immigrants work in the state, harvesting oranges, tomatoes and other produce, building homes and golf resorts, and staffing hotels and restaurants.

Any time some fat mouth breather around here starts complaining about migrants, I always ask them, "Are you going to pick tomatoes?"
    That generally ends the conversation.

KRS-1 had a great riff on that ...

In society you have illegal and legal
We need both, to make things equal
So legal is tobacco, illegal is speed
Legal is aspirin, illegal is weed
Crack is illegal, cause they cannot stop ya
But cocaine is legal if it's owned by a doctor
Everything you do in private is illegal
Everything's legal if the government can see you
Don't get me wrong, America is great place to live
But listen to the knowledge I give
