And similar to the democrats being concentrated in California, a huge portion of the aging republicans are concentrated in Florida. It still all comes down to 5 or 6 swing states.

Nine days until the trumplicans will cause a government shutdown. And today they spent time on.... a vote to defund the office of the Vice President.

Clearly, the goal IS a government shutdown. Which is hard to fathom, considering the trumplicans rightfully take all the blame for it every time they do it. Turning people's lives upside down for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

These are not serious people.

 

Recently saw a stupid online meme purporting to show how big and fancy Dem politicians houses are (and Republicans' aren't?).....and VP Harris's "house" was in fact the Naval Observatory the federal building that every veep lives in. Spouting incorrect info that they believe in....or trying to dupe the rubes. Either way....so tired of it.

 

Unfortunately that's their best chance. God knows they have no plans to fix "Anything Biden does is bad."

 

A local story, but indicative of the national Republican Party. The incumbent mayor wasn’t hard right enough, so the RTC primaried him. Incumbent ran as an independent, splitting the GOP vote. A democrat is now in the mayors office for the first time in decades.

Maybe the Biden campaign has its own polling that shows everything is hunky dory, but given the info imagine waking up on election day and Trump or another R wins the White House. The Dems will look as stupid as climate deniers. They wasted months of time they could have spent building support for a different candidate to prop up an unpopular President. Don't get me wrong, I like Biden and don't understand who people could prefer Trump to him, I think Biden has done a good job - but 2020 was such an outlier election due to COVID, states with more restrictive voting policies loosening them to allow people to vote safely. You can't assume anything.
