My point, not greatly shown, is that two things can be true while sounding counterintuitive on the surface.

    Try this:

Fact: Last year's Super Bowl ratings were the 10th-lowest ever and almost 25% lower than the all-time high (sounds negative).
Alternate fact: Last year's Super Bowl was the third-most watched ever (sounds positive).

That isn't alternate facts. That's just facts. The difference there is context. Again, alternate facts don't exist. There are only facts. If you believe in "alternate facts," that's admitting to believing in BS that makes your side true.
Fact: Joe Biden received the most votes in a presidential election, ever, and swept the states he needed to win, including flipping Georgia.
Alternate fact: Democrats stuffed the ballots with illegal immigrants voting.

One has a basis in reality. Because it is fact. The other is BS to support a narrative that is utter hogwash.

Ugh. Disagreeing with Biden on policy is fine. And fair.

But it’s a dangerous false equivalency to just say both are teh bad. Good grief.

Only one choice is insane. Only one tried to overthrow the government and has said he’ll finish the job if he gets back in.

    C’mon man.

Yeah, but Biden won't bend over and take it up the ass from Putin like Trump will. Therefore, to RTExpress, Biden is teh bad.

Sure. That said, that development speed was a result of the people who saw the urgency and dug in and got the work accomplished. Funding from Congress as well.

Yes or no, do you believe the majority of 2024 Democratic voters wish they had a younger, more energetic and more mentally focused candidate that they didn't have to keep under wraps as much as possible for fear of some viral senior moment sinking his chances?

I say "Yes," which, if true, means the party is not going to put forth the person its voters would more enthusiastically get behind, which increases the possibility Trump will win.

    And that is insane.

The only way the party is putting up someone other than Biden is if Biden decides he is not running. A party rebuking a sitting president like that—which hasn't happened since the 19th century—would be disastrous against the Republicans. The president has the prerogative to run or not. Then it comes down to Harris, who is next in line. She'd have to win the primary, but the party would need to go all out to support her. Again, unless she steps away or if the voters overwhelmingly reject the establishment, there's fuel for the GOP.

The Dems were not running someone other than Biden on their own. And to think otherwise is naive.

    I wouldn’t say it’s without precedent, see 1980.

I have no clue what the bell “mental focus” means. Is Biden daydreaming about hookers and blow? He seems pretty with it to me. He fell going up AF1 stairs. TFG could barely get down a ramp.

Would I love a younger D candidate? If s/he had Biden’s skill set, including the ability to win, sure. But the bench is pretty weak. If there’s a second Biden term, it’s something that needs to be addressed. I assume that means inserting folks like Jeffries, Booker and Buttigieg into his Cabinet or giving them more prominent roles.

Nah. Not playing that game because it’s pointless. Biden will be the nominee. And trump will be the nominee.

Choosing trump is complete fucking insanity. The end.

Trump is better on the economy than Biden! Re-elect him and he might have time to prove it when he is not golfing, tweeting, mainlining Fox News, rounding up immigrants and destroying his enemies for pointing out his crimes.

That’s spin, which isn’t alternate facts. You’re using two different facts, but spinning them to make the point you want to make.

Fact: Last year’s Super Bowl ratings were 40.0, which is the 10th lowest ever and almost 25 percent lower than the all-time high.

Fact: Last year’s Super Bowl was watched by 111 million people, which is the third most amount of viewers ever.

Alternate Facts: Last year’s Super Bowl drew a 79.6 rating and was watched by 328 million people.

    Again, see the difference?

The Trump team's "alternate facts" were that despite the inauguration's low attendance, it was the "most-viewed."

A desperate attempt to save face, and impossible to prove, but not implausible, unlike the absolutely false 79.6 Super Bowl rating.
