I met Spicer at a friend's Navy retirement party two or three years ago. Seems they'd been assigned to a post (?) or two together in the past and had become good friends. (My friend is an ardent Democrat.) Seemed like a pleasant enough guy ... sure is short, though.

'I Screwed Up': Sean Spicer Says He Regrets Comments on Crowd Size and Hitler
Spicer, who served as President Trump’s first press secretary, got off to a rough start with reporters when he falsely claimed the crowd gathered at the 2017 inauguration was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.”

Need to remember that when I try to position myself as the smart guy on the thread.

One of the many ironies of the last few years: the strongest 2nd Amendment supporters in America are the ones who voted in the absolute textbook definition of the kind of government that they've been so worried about: Trump.

The destruction of social media and cable TV would have to happen. That would lead to a resurgence of Americans getting their news from AP copy in their local paper and/or the Big 3 networks. Forced out of their algorithm-defined bubbles, they realize that “Hey, things aren’t that bad and Biden is doing OK.”

Well yeah except for Jarey Boy, at the behest of Fatfuck himself, obstructing, intercepting and roadblocking COVID funds and resources from the federal government to state and local agencies primarily on the basis of the willingness of the leading local officials to powerslurp Fatfuck's shrimpy toadstool, or the results of the 2016 election -- in other words, politically targeted genocide, for which in a truly just world, they'd be tried and likely executed at The Hague.

The bare minimum any even remotely competent (or even one more than moderately interested in political survival) administration would have done, but the Fatfuck pom pom fluffers act like he should be awarded the Heisman Trophy and the Nobel Prize in addition to canonization essentially for performing the utter minimum job performance.

Do you seriously think that it was Trump's leadership and assistance, or do you think it was a combination of the desire by scientists and drug companies to get a drug to fight the pandemic out as soon as possible combined with the knowledge that bringing one to market would make many many millions?
