Turned out to be one of the better races of the season. Lots of overtaking action and in various spots on the circuit, so it kept things interesting. Would have liked to see Charles pull off a win, but that was a helluva job to snatch 2nd away from Sergio on the final lap.

If one driver wins 19 of 22 races and one team wins 21 of 22 races, you don't have much of a racing series.

Dreadful season, Drive to Survive could be titled Max's Sunday Drive.

The real question is how was Red Bull able to create such a vastly superior car to every other constructor? What did they do that was so different that the other teams haven’t been able to replicate in two seasons? Their DRS advantage is so much greater than everyone else. How is it that none of the teams have been able to see what Red Bull is doing and reverse engineer it in two seasons?

Can F-1 teams release a new car mid-season? I feel like there used to be some NASCAR manufacturer every year debuting an updated car somewhere around the 600 or the Firecracker.

My guess is most F1 teams already have their '24 cars more or less ready to go and have people diligently designing '25s.
That, in a nutshell, is what's wrong with the series. I can't think of a good reason to completely reset every season.

I like F1. I love qualifying and I love the mid-pack drama. The commentary is exemplary and the broadcast product is amazing. Having a race on Sunday morning at 9 or 10 am is really wonderful and great after a long work week. (Watching on DVR is even better: it's great FFing through red flags.)

Another season like this and I will admittedly have a hard time staying interested.

And I know Hamilton and Schumacher had many dominant seasons. But come on.

The thing about this season that was so bizarre is that Checo was hot garbage for like four months so it's not like it was 100% equipment a la McLaren in the early 90s. What scares me is that Verstappen might be that damn good or close to it because I think he's a prick.

I think that, even though the racing at the front sucked big time this year, the genius of DTS was how it did such a good job highlighting the issues and personalities in the midfield. And even when you don't have much from that, the engineering and the venues are themselves pretty interesting to me.

This is the thing I find really interesting about the Red Bull over the past few years.

When Hamilton was dominating, Rosberg or Bottas was close behind. When Schumacher was king he had Barrichello or Massa right behind him.

Verstappen is historically dominant and Perez is getting his ass kicked. And Checo can drive. Same with Albon and Gasly before him.

I suspect that for whatever reason, that car is very fast but extremely difficult to drive. Max can do it, but everyone else struggles.
