The Kenny Payne Execution Watch is on. They're trailing Arkansas State by 18. The Red Wolves, of course, have a guy who is on his fourth team.
"This is embarrassing. They're not playing any defense."

Players Rights folks will love this. And I agree that the old system, which required revenue-producing athletes to sit out a year upon transfer, was wrong. But unlimited transfer power isn't necessarily a great thing for players. Changing colleges like undergarments severely reduces the chances you'll actually graduate.

Jeff Goodman has panned the Kenny Payne hire from the get-go. Doesn't try to hammer him for everything he does - for basically breathing and existing - but believes he was, and is, in over his head.

Chicago State beat No. 25 Northwestern at Evanston tonight. Big Ten power!

I think someone posted the numbers for how many players who post actually move.

It seems a lot of these players looking around should realize the education and the general experience is better than the small increases in going pro.

If only the NCAA hadn't kept its head buried in the sand for so long, it wouldn't have all the anti-trust problems it has now.

I'm good with unlimited transfers as long as the kid remains academically eligible and can get admitted. Will a lot of players make poor choices? Sure. But it should be their choice to make.

A 20-year-old can be on his third school before he drinks his first (legal) beer.

Or sixth. You can transfer every semester and be good as long as the admissions officers play along.

Next up will be kids suing who don’t meet NCAA clearinghouse requirements for initial eligibility but find some truck driving school to admit them to play ball.

The game between Phoenix Truck Driving School and Teller Training Institute will also serve as the final exam for the Columbia School of Broadcasting.
