Congress has kicked the can on immigration for what, twenty years? Obama got a couple of small things through, I guess, but mostly they just posture and use it to beat each other up as the opportunity presents.

 

It’s the easiest way to stoke fear, despite the fact that 100 percent of us is more likely to be bankrupted by a health crisis than to have any problem caused by an immigrant.

 

Hmm, maybe on the actual street? Maybe outside factories? Maybe any poor areas in Iowa? Anywhere but diners and restaurants.

Issues? Any of them other than horserace polling.

70% of the farming workforce is made up of undocumented immigrants,

and their contribution to the fruit and vegetable industry

is worth nine billion dollars.

Six thousand migrant workers come to Iowa on a yearly basis to support the industry.​

One, fuck right off with that "cooler state" bullshit.

Two, a state that looks more like the rest of the USA would be nice. Iowa is whiter and more rural than the rest of the nation. Hell, draw lots for which state goes first.
