His lady problems have been the only thing that makes him even vaguely relateable as a fellow traveller of life.

 

This, somehow, is really depressing, and seems kind of inexplicable to me. Does Scott (or Ramaswamy, for that matter) think it makes any difference to Trump, or the GOP party, even? Why do all these former GOP contenders -- and therefore Trump foes -- have to actually publicly "back" him? I'd think they must be gagging while doing it. Why can't they just say nothing, and disappear? It's all just so disingenuous.

 

Not that it's a surprise, but the trump "evolution" on immunity was fast even for that fucking mentally ill criminal.

It wasn't long ago that it was "I did absolutely nothing wrong." Now it's "Fuck you, yeah, I committed crimes and I demand immunity for those and the crimes I'm gonna commit if this country is stupid enough to elect me again."

It's an attorney giving a vigorous defence. Trump wants it thrown out before he has to defend the charges at trial. A legal defense is no statement regarding the underlying facts. It is SOP for any defendant in any trial.

No, but he makes those decisions with his attorney. What probably happened was his attorneys described the argument and he ran with it in his speeches. It has nothing to do with his guilt.
