If you are around to see your name appear on the obits page as the subject of the story, I hope you’ll post a treatise on how to fake your own death.

On Old Timer's Day at Yankee Stadium, they do an "In Memoriam" where they say the names of former Yankees who have died in the past year, and they put them on the video board. Reggie Jackson used to tell this story about Yogi Berra nudging him during it one year, and whispering, "I sure hope I don't see my name up there next year."

Hope those laid-off guild members actually received a benefit at some time from being in a guild.

Has the LAT guild even signed a deal with ownership? I thought they were recognized, but didn;'t have a deal.

Does anyone know exactly who got laid off from SI in the latest axe drop? I haven't seen names.
If you know, please add. Thanks!

The way Guild employees are being treated right now is despicable. But everyone knows SI.com is valuable, which gives us hope.

The publicly-traded company said SI’s website gets about 70 million users a month. It generates roughly two-thirds of Arena’s $250 million in revenue, sources said.

If Penske Media ends up owning us, surely we'll get back to covering the Indy 500. I'll volunteer, living 20 minutes away.

The Penske fuckup kid, right? Isn’t he the one who pushed pills that got a driver who worked for his dad suspended from NASCAR?
