Didn’t watch the show, but saw the YouTube clip poking another hole or two in Alaska Airlines. Nice of Kenan Thompson to bring up the tripping on mushrooms pilot!

Definitely going heavy hitter with the musical acts. Don't know much about Ayo Edibri, but she did just win the Globe and Emmy, so there's promise there.

Ayo is great on conversational / improv podcasts, so she would seemingly be perfect for SNL.

I'm kind of surprised she's not hosting her own episode. Have to think they offered it to her and she said no to have the focus be on her music.

The list of from "In Living Color" to "SNL" according to the SNL Archives site:

Jennifer Lopez: 3 host, 2 music (counting next week), 1 cameo
David Alan Grier: 2 host, 1 cameo (doing ILC's "Men on Film" with Damon Wayans)
Damon Wayans: 1 host and the infamous tenure on cast pre-ILC
Jim Carrey: 3 host, 8 cameo (including SNL40)
    Jamie Foxx: 2 host

I thought women's AA was funny. No Kenan? But mostly it seemed like an episode where the writers didn't know anything about the host except he was good looking. Also - why aren't the cut for time sketches put on the SNL web (where there is not time limit?) Or even on the add-ons. Really weird. Also James Austin Johnson is now more believable as Trump than Trump is. Seems a lot more comfortable in his own skin at least.

I cannot think of a worse cold open than tonight's. Figured it was going to be a good Taylor Swift skit and it was decidedly not that.

If I didn't know that Timberlake was on the show tonight, I would have turned it off. Awful.

The opening, first sketch and Bee Gees were all awful but the Maury Show filmed piece was hilarious

    Fantastic Please Don't Destroy.
