Just the opposite. If Mr. Brooks concentrated more on those hard truths of human nature, and less on obsolete categories and OpEd cliches like "working class," "Democrat," "Republican," and "elites," he might have something interesting to say.

Or at least be made to say something interesting.

 

I have only been following this from the political aspect, so does anyone know what Alabama's plan is for all its new citizens?
Do they keep in the freezer until the rapture? Do they call in the parents and force them to have all the embrioes inserted and carried to term one at a time? Do they offer bounties to women to be surrogates? What happens if there is a big power outage and they go bad? Is the power company charged as an accessory to murder?

Or just maybe there is no actual plan at all for what happened beyond the ruling itself.

 

At what point did the educated not dominate universities, media, arts, nonprofits and bureaucracies? Arguably with the rise of social media, this moment in time has given the less-educated more influence in popular discourse, not less.

 

No plan.

They hardly ever have any plan for anything, and when they do, the plan is horrifying.

 

Frankly, I prefer that the educated dominate universities, media, arts, nonprofits and bureaucracies. My hope would be that those educated people represent varying viewpoints, not political silos, but in a general sense putting the Tommy Tubervilles of the world in charge of such institutions is problematic.
