It's always fun, in a depressing way, to play the such-and-such is older now than such-and-such was then game, or to come up with modern equivalents of classic pop culture moments. For instance: Cheap Trick's 1988 cover of "Don't Be Cruel" is older now than Elvis' 1956 original was then. Bill Clinton used "Don't Stop" as his campaign anthem in 1992. That's the equivalent of Biden or the other guy using a song from 2009 this year (maybe "Boom Boom Pow" or "I've Got a Feeling?").

I’ll raise you by hopefully being the only person on this board to have stood in line overnight to buy tickets to see Night Ranger.

I also spent my own money on a tape by a band called Kingdom Come. I don’t know why.

The Little River Band song “Reminiscing,” in which the narrator is fondly remembering the days of dancing to Big Band tunes from Cole Porter and Glenn Miller, is now older than the music about which it was reminiscing when the song came out in 1978.

My kids are 19 and 17 and they own tons of albums. They love vinyl.

If you were born in 1954, you are as close to the publication of "My Darling Clementine" then as you are to your current age today.

(I could have used my own birth year for a similar mind-blowing comparison, but why torture myself? Let the Boomers sweat it out.)

Just because this board allows for anonymity doesn't mean you have to tell us everything
