    That got her torqued!?!

Pat Forde’s tweet caused a shitstorm bigger than anything in the story.

She obviously only knew that former players had been contacted to "say negative things," so she really had no idea exactly what was coming and was bracing for the worst. But she tried to get out in front of it, and --- who knows? --- there may have been some stuff removed after her threats.

When you are a control freak, you tend to freak out over things you can't control.

I can't imagine any profile like this where a reporter wouldn't ask former players some version of the question, "what were positive and negative experiences with Coach Mulkey?" Being paranoid like many good coaches, Mulkey chose to believe only the second half of the question was asked.

Nothing there that's going to lead to legal action, that's for sure.

    Meh.

Weaving the Dad in and out of it was distracting. OK, we get it, they’re estranged.

Things with big buildup rarely live up to the hype.

If Mulkey hadn't hyped the piece so much, I'm sure fewer of us would've read it. I sure wouldn't of. Successful coach also can be quite the asshole. There's a dog bites man story for you,

Must be great living life as such a paranoid manipulator that even a profile that’s as sympathetic as possible causes you to throw a gigantic shit fit that winds up being completely off base.

I wonder if the anecdote about her begging for a five-year deal from Tech is the thing she hated the most. Not sure what in there she'd find most annoying.

Her freaking out that much over what was in that story just leads me to believe that there are things out there that were truly horrible that she was afraid of getting out.

Just read it. That was some Al Capone’s vault shit.
