Everything after Heyman has been a bit clunky and awkward.

Lord almighty, that last segment was horrific. Maybe Lia the promoter would've liked it, but it was disservice to grandma to use the time more to shill the beef with Cody.

Respectfully to the other inductees, the ceremony fell off a cliff after Heyman.

Wile E. Coyote didn't go off a cliff as bad as that ceremony.
Heyman was incredible. The rest of it was a Gooker candidate.

Heyman talked about this being through first class singlehandedly picked by Trips. The candidates all deserved it, but maybe Trips needs some help getting some more thrilling candidates.

Other than Heyman, we had two posthumous inductees, one who spoke broken English, a frail man in his 80s and a tag team who was never known for their abilities with the mic.

Optimally, the best choice would be to go back to the HOF being on its own night, but with two-day Manias now the norm and NXT also getting a spotlight, that'll never happen again, unless they attach the HOF to a different PLE.

It was a bit of a dud class, but I don't know that that's all on Trips. Quite frankly, after about 25 classes they're running out of A-listers. There might only be eight or 10 left who would really move the needle, and several of those are working for AEW.
They should probably revisit the Legacy inductees from the 2010s and give some of them proper inductions. But even then, a lot of those are upper mid-carders when it comes to the HOF. Very worthy inductees to fill out the class, but not headliners.

I'm not real sure how this thing went off the rails. They had some star power for introductions, but Undertaker and Rock were both pretty awful in those roles. The U.S. Express induction felt like it was as much a Bray Wyatt induction as it was those guys. The Rock-Cody thing at the end had no place at an event where they generally drop any pretense of kayfabe.
At least we didn't get a Bull Nakano vs. Thunderbolt Patterson promo battle.

I wonder if it was booked backwards on purpose, like an 86 Saturday Night show, knowing people weren’t gonna stick around till the end?

Paul’s speech made me wish I worked for someone like HHH

This was the perfect opportunity to induct a few more ECW originals, all of whom would’ve popped the crowd.

Tommy was there already. I’m sure Raven didn’t have anything better to do. Those two could’ve inducted each other. Sandman, Sabu? I know Shane Douglas has made a lot of enemies, but he's a no-brainer.

Heyman himself would say ECW never would've made it without those guys and Terry Funk.

Hell, Al Snow, also already in attendance, should be in just for the Head run and what he’s doing down in OVW.

I was busy watching Iowa-UConn yesterday, so I decided to watch some of the HOF today.

Heyman was unreal, as expected. I cracked up when he mentioned the brick phone being the original one.

I skipped most of the rest as I don’t feel like rehashing Dwayne, but watched Thunderbolt Patterson. He still has that great voice, but the preaching wasn’t going to go over with the Philly crowd. I’ll give him a pass since he’s 82 years old. And like Batman said, give the crowd credit for not breaking into What chants.

Maybe they should do what they did before and make the HOF a separate show. They don’t even have to do it in a big arena. Just do it ina theater or something, or for this year, in a bingo hall.

Thank God that stupid Prime logo is at least a black outline and not the full color like when they first introduced it.

Some good matches so far. Ripley was the right choice, and the tag match was a wild affair (though they need some sturdier fake ladders).

Glad to see Truth get his big moment.
