That power play is so damned good. The two no-look, behind the back passes, Kreider to Trocheck to Mika, that set that one up were beautiful. It's nice to see Mika finding his finishing touch again. Earlier this year, fans on some of the boads were doing photoshop jobs of Mika's face on the side of milk cartons. His season wasn't his best, but. ... he never let it get to the other aspects of his game. He was their best penalty killer, creates a lot of turnovers that lead to odd-man rushes, backchecks / forechecks, and is one of the best defensive centers there is. Mika never gets any Selke love, and I think it is one of the biggest oversights in the NHL.

That's because it was no game 7 was already decided. Lots of freaking out in the fan forums and socials leading up to it, all the way back to when the shows were announced. It was almost silly.

Hope you had fun. The setlist was interesting to say the least.

I find it very interesting that their top power play guys -- Kreider, Zibanejad, Trocheck and Fox -- are also on the penalty-kill units. They've been fantastic at both so far in the playoffs.

I can't take credit for this observation, it might have been Larry Brooks (although I am not certain). Gerard Gallant didn't leave behind too much that advanced this team. But he was the one who put Kreider on the PK something like 9 years into Kreider's career. I don't think anybody else thought it was a natural thing to do with Kreider at the time, but that Kreider / Zibanejad pairing on the PK has been amazing.

Building availability in Dallas as well. There’s a concert there Wednesday night.

Paul Maurice quit up there, too. The players must be toxic?

I don't recall the circumstances of Maurice's departure. Bowness is 69. Maybe he's just tired. The man's been a lifer.
