I’m currently watching Loot with Maya Rudolph on Apple TV. It’s reasonably funny and entertaining. But she was put on earth to be on SNL. That’s her comfort zone. Awesome show all around. …

That Scooby sketch was a hoot and had "Sarah Sherman creation" all over it.

Sabrina Carpenter played a good Daphne. Glad she got some sketch time tonight. I watched her in "Girl Meets World." (Hey, I'm a TGIF kid and had to see the reboot ... and Topanga, nuff said).

Velma is a unique role in that every Velma really LOOKS like Velma. But even by those standards, Sarah Sherman really LOOKED like Velma.

The opening song was tremendous too. Also, did anyone else think the cookie sketch was a homage of sorts to the Ryan Gosling's character doesn't want to get married skit?

I am surprised by the Scooby and 'Beavis and Buthead' sketches. The cast seems too young to know those shows.

"ChatGPT has released a new voice assistant feature inspired by Scarlett Johanssen's character in Her. Which I've never bothered to watch because without that body, what's the point of listening?"

“We’ve asked Paul Giamati to shelter in place.”

The NYPD character actor sketch was fantastic.

Pretty strong finale and a solid season, I think.

No obvious nods to anyone who might be leaving the show. Wonder if most are expecting/hoping to be back for the 50th season.

I noticed that. Anyone with five-plus years is usually owed some sort of sendoff. We all know Kenan will be there until they turn the lights out in 8H.

I could see the featured players thinned out, especially if they plan to bring in more. I've enjoyed Michael Longfellow, but he hasn't seemed to catch on with much. Marcelo is probably the MVP of the featured cast, and Devon Walker has gotten a lot of work (and it's almost guaranteed he'll stay as the second Black male sketch performer).

Chloe Troast had a strong debut, and she's taken the mantel from Cecily Strong as the cast singer. Molly Kearney has done well taking over for Aidy Bryant as, for the lack of a better term, the larger female (though nonbinary) cast member.

I think I read something about Kenan saying the show should end after the 50th season. Maybe he’ll take his bow after that. I certainly think it’ll continue on for a while at this point.

I wonder if they’ll largely keep the cast intact one more year, then make big changes.

Che has talked about leaving. I think he and Jost have nearly perfected Update. They been great and done it for a long time.

I could also see Lorne leaving after 50. Possibly replaced by Tina Fey.
