Always loved when tournament games run long, and you see one of the teams for the next game sitting in an empty section of seats, in full uniform, watching and waiting for it to end.

LSU retakes the lead in the top of the ninth of this gorilla ball catastrophe. The soonest the late game can start is 9:30.

Speaking of games running long, this LSU-South Carolina game is about to go four hours and it's a one-run game heading to the bottom of the ninth. Mississippi State-Vandy probably won't start until about 9:45 p.m. local time if LSU can close it out right here.

In what may go down as the first sensible decision in conference history, the Atlantic Sun canceled both pool play games today since tomorrow’s semifinal field was already set. I’m sure they may have to issue up to a dozen refunds.

Glad to see Stanford eliminated. You should not be rewarded with an NCAA berth by winning four games after you sucked in your first 54. Plus, their coach is a dick.

The Birmingham Southern Panthers have advanced to the D3 World Series. Their last class has already graduated. The school is gone. These are the last men standing.

    Best of luck to them.

Holy crap, the LSU-Carolina game is a shitshow thanks to the umps. Runner thrown out trying to steal home. After a few minutes, umps call catcher’s interference and a balk on the play. Carolina gets the run - even though the baserunner never touched home. LSU skip gets tossed. LSU files formal complaint. LSU appeals the play. After 18 minutes of delay, LSU is now batting down 1 in the bottom of the 10th.

Edit: LSU walks it off with a two-run HR.

Penn State baseball has not been on my radar very often. But they just beat Michigan 5-4 to earn a spot in Sunday's B1G championship game as the No. 8 seed.

Former Wake Forest star Adam Cecere hit his 17th homer of the year, a two-run shot in the top of the 10th, for the eventual decider.

Indiana-Nebraska coming in about an hour to decide the other finalist.
