    IDK, Tester is pretty popular in Montana and he's been spending a lot of money. Even seen commercials on Mariners' broadcasts.

    I did notice what looked to be a brand new Appeal to Heaven flag driving through a nearby suburb on Friday, along with a friend who hoisted those virtual colors on Facebook. So that’s probably going to be the new hotness among the Christofascist set this summer.

    Say what you want about his supporters. Unlike January 6, and unlike trials that others haven't like the outcomes of. ... his supporters didn't riot, didn't loot stores, didn't set neighborhoods on fire (yet, at least). ... they donated $54 million to him.

    We're just taking the word of Trump and the GQP on this? Because both are trusworthy and would never lie.

    (Not aimed at you, Ragu, just the sheepish nature of political media in not verifying this.}

    That $54 million figure is as valid as the figures he gives about his net worth. As with everything regarding Trump, it must be considered a bald-face lie unless verified otherwise.

    You mean the $54 million? Yeah, it might be complete BS. ... although you'll actually be able to verify it at some point, I believe, because they have to report the contributions to the FEC.

    Regardless, the point wasn't the $$ amount. It's that they are mobilizing in appropriate ways (so far).

    My sense is that it's because this is all cultlike. If he tells them to riot (as he did on 1/6), they might (but he wasn't going to do that, because he's facing sentencing). But on this, what he told them to do was give him money (which they did).

    True. No doubt because American justice has a long history of being equally despicable towards communities of color as it does towards old white men with (allegedly) money.

    By the time that the $54mm would be validated or (very much likely) invalidated, we will be 12 scandals in which would kill a normal campaign.

    What is that saying about fools and their money?

    None of that money will aid his campaign, or of anyone else's down the ballot. He's keeping it for personal gain/legal fees. Period.
