Skenes was awesome against St. Louis.
Just goes to show no one has an S on their chest.

Twenty years from now, he'll either be spoken of as an all-time great, or in cautionary Kerry Wood-like tones.

I sure hope it's the former.

Hard to believe so many college programs missed on him, he went to Air Force for two seasons originally.

He really loved catching. He's also from a military family and wanted to go to one of the service academies. Definitely a one of one kind of guy.

Cards, when you can squeeze out two runs off Skenes, you get a pat on the back.

When you get shut out by a conglomerate of Perez, Mlodzinski, Holderman, and Chapman, you don't get nothin'.

Didn't think anyone could out-cocksucker Jack Clark ...

... but then Juan Soto emerges ...

I've always been in the "act like you've been there before" camp. But I'm having doubts. I think the O's Hydration Station has something to do with that.

If I launched a shot like that, and the only question was whether it was fair or foul, I bet I'd be standing there leaning back too.
