America: We will suffer every indignity, except if our 3,500-calorie carbohydrate logs are missing two ounces of meat. Then we will become a nation full of Columbos.

Chipotle is the rare restaurant where as soon as they hand over your food it is already plumeting below room temperature and three minutes later it looks and tastes like the contents of a pothole in early March.

And I thought I was the young guy on the board.

Columbo was an NBC detective played by Peter Falk in the 1980s.

Or is the plural of Columbo actually Columboes?

[Dan Quayle offstage telling me not to answer that question]

I think the original Columbo was already in reruns by the 1980s. ABC was running Columbo specials as late as 2003, however.

IIRC, most of them were early-to-mid 70s. There was a brief revival in the late 80s that I remember watching. I've seen a few of them pop up on places like MeTV and IFC. The latter sometimes plays them at 1 a.m. on Friday after the Law & Order marathon has concluded.

Proof that I’m still the young guy! I think I was thinking of the specials.
