Local brunch place (think First Watch, but locally owned) offers grits or hash browns as a choice. It's Texas, so I always went for hash browns. But seeing the ways you can gussy up grits is making me reconsider!

You keep insisting that financial insecurity is the root yet you cannot point to where those they support have acted to alleviate their pain. I can only conclude that what you see as symptoms of their financial pain is what they actually care about most. In dire financial straits or not, it's always a good time to take back the country that somehow only belongs to them.

 

Speaking of Texas, I had the best chicken fried steak on Saturday night at Cattleman’s Cafe in Blue Ridge. And unlike most homecooking places, they give three sides instead of two. I didn’t even have room for pie.
