Might be obvious, but seems to me this thread took an RFKjr-type worm turn a few pages ago.

How about we get back to policy issues now and tomorrow, after the wailers are cried-out again?

Also, catching up from five pages back, but I keep thinking Fucko has
dropped some pounds in the past few months – maybe 30 or 50, I'd say?

    (Apologies to Starman, thanks.)

Point is, Fucko doesn't seem like a crash-dieter to me.
So maybe his appetite is shrinking because he's ... sundowning at last?

I'd guess weight loss drugs for trump. That would be in line with his, um, smell and "digestive issues" in court.

That, along with his advanced age.

I have been asked, several times, by my mom and other members of my family about friends -- make that acquaintances, really -- at work at Walmart.

They wonder about lunch, or breaks, in the break room.

Them: "Doesn't anybody talk to each other?"

Me: "No, not really. Everybody pretty much just spends the whole time looking at their phones."

Years ago, that didn't used to be the case, and associates actually socialized with each other during meals and breaks. Not anymore.

I miss Rockpile, they had some very good songs. I saw Dave Edmunds (Bruce pushed through the crowd to jump on stage and join him for “from small things, big things one day come’’) at Big Man’s west in red bank i guess in the 80s.
    Here’s Bruce:

And, one of my favorites from Rockpile:

A military draft is a bad/good idea. Nobody should be forced into conscription, but, then again, if you survive the ordeal, or if you enlist and serve and survive, look at the life and career skills you come away with: discipline, respect, confidence, tech skills, organizational skills, gun/weapon/survival skills (if you ever do need them), spoken (and other) communications skills, too.

It's worked well for Israel, though that's only a good example.
Two to four years in military service would have been great for me.

    YMMV, of course.

More than once in the last few years, I've been at a family function and walked into a room where 8-10 people are all staring at their phones.
I very loudly proclaim: "Hey, how 'bout you ass munchers quit staring at your phones and interact WITH. YOUR. FAMILY!"
It's not like they can vote me off the island or anything.

I banned phones from the table when one of my teams get together for team meals. And they still find a way to get on them. It’s troubling.

I lower the murder rate in New York every day by practicing self control.
