Harris wants to give Trump plenty of air time to fill, in the hope that he'll go off the reservation. His handlers don't want a live mic for the same reason.

 

If Trump wants to run from the debate, fine. At this point, he’s the one in need of a plot twist.

 

Fine. No mics cut means Trump can exceed his limit and throw more accusations and insults out there than he otherwise would and talk over Harris to the point her points are unintelligible.

Trump needs that debate more than she does. If he ducks it he's going to get ridiculed, and that's intolerable for him.

 

This is exactly like every goddamned infrastructure week. He's just fucking talking to be talking and be in the news cycle. He's not backing out.

Then he's gonna do it and act like he's some big strong man just for doing it. He knows that him in the news cycle probably means more people donate, which he is stealing for himself.
