I think it’s mildly amusing to hear whining that the media focuses on the “horse race” aspects of campaign when it seems that’s mainly what a lot of folks talk about.

 

Of all the things to double down on, this wasn't it.

They are the same as a delusional college fan base. It’s been a decade since their national title, and they are coming of back to back 6-6 seasons. They still think Coach Trump has all the answers and it’s the refs, the ncaa, cheating by other teams and the transfer portal that is holding them back.

But the weird part is no one wants to push for Coach Trump to get fired or retire. Usually that would have happened by now…especially after he got exposed by Covid Tech.

Got sucked into a Facebook conversation with some earlier this week after they posted a meme stating how much cheaper things were under Trump. They are conviced one of the president's duties is to set the prices for gas, groceries, etc.

 

Vance is still the same misfit who was being made fun of at Middletown High School or wherever he went. He has not nor may ever grow past needing to lash out at the people who wronged him when he was 16.

 

He is literally Sideshow Bob stepping on rakes 24/7.

 

Again: This is why media members, be it Tucker Carlson or Bill Kristol, should not be spearheading the charge to pick a VP candidate.

JD Vance now moves in a world where a VP candidate even attempting to be funny - and I'd say his original tweet fell short - is a waste of time; voters aren't looking to a VP candidate to be that.

Humor, and again I didn't think it was funny, is seen as a weakness as much as a strength. Wit, perhaps, in the right moment. But not what Vance tweeted.
