That fucking guy. Not a real historian. Martyr Made first got Tucker’s attention with a bullshit rationalization of J6.

That's a tremendous article that explains the entire weirdness of why Trump emerged, why the GOP can't let him go and why people still believe the stupidness four years later.

The only thing he sort of glosses over is the fact that Trump doesn't really have a plan other than "winning" for his own ego. And now he has to win to keep his ass out of prison. Trump lucked into the perfect situation -- the Presidency -- where people willingly sent him millions of dollars for free and he didn't have to do sh-t except play golf and slobber over Putin and Kim.

Republicans were thrilled because they could pack the Supremes and own the libs. But that has spectacularly backfired because one, they're scared sh-tless of losing the MAGA core that will kick their asses out of Congress, and two, they keep losing every election since because MAGA is still not a plurality.

He's right in one key point -- this election hinges on the suburbs. Biden carried just enough of them in 2020. If Harris can convince enough women and minorities that Trump will make things worse for them rather than better, she's got a chance. She needs to keep pounding a positive message about the future, not wallow in a mud-slinging contest, because that's the kind of campaign Trump thrives on.

As much as I'd like to hang anything possible around Trump's neck, that looks like one of those awful "felony murder" convictions. This dude is clearly violent, but he shouldn't have been convicted in the first place.

I am generally in favor of the use of pardons and commutations where the circumstances warrant it. But what Trump did in this regard is scandalous. Either he used it to help his political supporters get away with their crimes or he just listened to the last voice in his ear without any sort of vetting process.

Eh, details, shmetails. We’re two months from the election. Make the GOP have to waste valuable time with “well actually …”

Florida state parks whistleblower fired after exposing Ron DeSantis’s plans

Florida’s department of environmental protection has fired a whistleblower who exposed and sank governor Ron DeSantis’s secretive plan to pave over environmentally sensitive state parks and build lucrative hotels, golf courses and pickleball courts.

James Gaddis, who worked for the agency for two years as a cartographer, was terminated for “conduct unbecoming a public employee”, according to a letter he received on Saturday.

His leaking of the proposals sparked a furious backlash that united Republicans with Democrats and environmental advocates, and forced DeSantis into a humiliating climbdown last week in which he admitted the plans were “half-baked” and were “going back to the drawing board”.

Speaking with the Tampa Bay Times on Monday, Gaddis said preservation of the state parks was more important to him than his position.

That MartyrMade dude also hosts a podcast with a former Navy SEAL turned "mindset" influencer Jocko Willink. If you go down the rabbit hole of Rogan adjacent podcasts like Shawn Ryan or Julien Dorey, it will amaze you at how many former special forces guys are complete whackjob conspiracy theorists.
