That's a dumb take. The number of people without a care for who wins and who will bet accordingly greatly outnumber people making partisan bets. A single person could move the line if if got out of whack.

 

The really successful, smart and astute people bet on who will score the first touchdown in the Hall of Fame Game. They don't waste their time on meaningless elections.

Election betting markets are totally nonpredictive. One guy (let's face it, only guys are dumb enough to do this) can bet a million bucks on a candidate, skewing the odds in said candidate's favor, but he can't cast a million votes.
