Knicks/Celtics combined for 91 three-point attempts in 48 minutes of basketball ... Do the math...

There is no way the Griffeys did not spend much of last night thinking "this is not anything like what we did."

Of course it's wasn't. Last night was a circus act, nothing more.

And I'm somewhat pleasantly surprised by the degree to which it's being treated as such. Mostly it seems people are ignoring it.

I fully expect Bronny in the lineup when the South Bay Lakers play the Santa Cruz Warriors next month.

Very weird last night at the Ducks game. I don't know if this was in response to the Griffeys at the Lakers game.
They do a pregame stunt just before faceoff where the arena DJ has somebody with him to push a large button that (supposedly) triggers the goal horn and theatrical smoke comes out. Last night, the guests were Bob Boone and one of his sons (not Aaron). Bob played for and managed the Angels. Kids were all born in Orange County. Bob looked ancient and his son had to grab his hands to help him push the button. It all seems pretty silly. Why do you bring the Boones to a meaningless hockey game when their whole family focus is on the World Series.

Opening night for the Pistons tonight at Little Caesars Arena, capacity 20,300. Maybe 12,000 butts in the seats -- a little more than half full.

Game being carried on the FanDuel Network, the successor to Bally Sports.

I'm very enthused by the desire shown by Joel Embiid and Zion Williamson as the season commences.

This had me in a bit of a panic a few minutes ago. Thought DirecTV had dropped my Ballys/RSN.

If you had Draymond Green's first T of the season with 2:20 left in the first half of the first game, collect your prize at the cashier's window.

Zach Edey 6 fouls in 15 minutes in his NBA debut.

Or five more fouls than he had in 39 minutes against Tennessee in the Elite Eight.
