    Damn. I must have had a dozen Rudy May baseball cards the one year I spent my weekly allowance on Topps at the nearby 7-11. RIP.

    Started the first game at the renovated Yankee Stadium.

    Doug Bird of the Royals has passed away too.

    Part of two big trades for the Orioles. Acquired along with Scott McGregor and Rick Dempsey, the battery in the 1983 World Series clincher, for Ken Holtzman et al in 1976. Traded December 1977 for Gary Roenicke and Don Stanhouse.
