Yellow fever vaccine is difficult to tolerate because it is a live virus vaccine. Your immune system is reacting to/defending against an actual viral invasion.

You have to understand my sense of humor and brain function to get this, but I think it's funny.

I sold my tractor today. I told the people to make the check to my wife. I handed it to her and said, "I want $100 out of that."
"What are you going to do with it?"
"I don't know. I'm going to buy $100 worth of fishing lures, pork rinds, hookers, or cocaine. Whatever I do, I'm going to blow it. I have a lifetime of literal blood, sweat, and tears in that tractor. I'm going to blow it as severance for the hours I've put in."
"You're an idiot, but spend it on what you want."

I don't want any part of the hookers or coke you can get for $100.

Well, to be truthful, I have no prior experience with either.
But I dang sure know about pork rinds.

Is there a high end pork rind? I kind of like them, but they become one-note after a few..

High end ones would be ones that are hot just right out of the grease.

Unpopular views I'm holding right now:

Drag at its best is adult entertainment. Why are we insisting on shoehorning it into the children's section of the library?

A friend was asked to do a storytime. He does a lot of local theatre, TV and movies that shoot here etc They wanted Drag and only Drag. He said no. Now he's accused of being a self-loathing MAGA. I understand what they're trying to do, but it seems like they are pushing something that is not entirely age appropriate.

Another unpopular opinion that makes me a big ole meanie who doesn't like New Americans, I guess.

If you're going to insist on conducting business in your native language and people are nice enough to try to communicate with you in that language, don't be a dick if they're less than fluent. Remember, estupida is not only a cognate, it is translatable on most language platforms. Also that pale person with blue eyes and reddish hair? Her Daddy was from Panama. She can understandc you and tell her friend what you are sying One other thing, demanding that a customer cancel a doctor's apointment to accomdate your decision to show up after blowing off three previous times you have told them you were going to come is bad form. That's why I taught her this phrase: estás despedido.

    Pendejo.

I was today years old when I learned that the M and the N dash are named for being the length of the M and N letters.

I'll go one step further. While I appreciate drag as a cultural element of the LGBT community, I think it too often overshadows the totality of the LGBT community, diminishes it, makes it into a cartoon. You want to read to kids? fine. Read to kids. Leave the costume and makeup at home. By the same token, trans athletes. I totally appreciate it as a deeply personal issue. So personal that I think it is more important than your desire to play college sports. I'd dominate in Little League now, but they have age rules to ensure a level playing field. But by the same token, if a college conference or athletic body is ok with trans athletes competing, I'm fine with that too. Play or don't play. Hold off on surgery or don't. Life is full of hard choices.
