I'm not sure if Harris hasn't done a good enough job with her messaging or if it is just that the MAGA crowd refuses to listen, but I don't think there has been enough focus on the positives with the economy. Yes, prices for gas and everything else spiked when things returned to normal after COVID. Of course they did. Trump played at least as big a part in that as Biden, but most of it happened on Biden's watch so he and Harris are getting the blame. It is a worldwide problem, one that has slowly gotten better over the last two years. Along with the stock market and low unemployment, the positive trends regarding inflation in general and gas prices in particular should be a focus for Harris.

Then again, focusing on the ways Trump is a selfish, dangerous, corrupt lunatic isn't bad strategy, either.

 

Does JV Vance understand that it’s not his place to determine if racist comments about Puerto Rico are ok or not, just a joke and people need to lighten up. The only thing that matters is if Puerto Ricans decide the comments aren’t ok and vote accordingly. JV doesn’t get to decide that they should “lighten up’’

The MAGATs that I know - including some relatives that I'm deeply embarrassed by - will only be emboldened by that rally. Like it gives them an excuse for their horrible views, leading them to double down on their support. Which, I suppose, was probably one of the goals of the rally to begin with.

 

She’s going to win, decisively.

 

These are the same people who whine that if a Black comedian gets to use the N word then a white one should be able to do so as well.

 

Even if Trump loses and Harris is the next POTUS, we will be dealing with the community of whackjobs that has coalesced around him for many more years.

Maybe I’m naive but I’m pretty sure the Harris campaign is above trying to sabotage the MSG rally.

The people who have these takes think they’re street smart. They’re not any kind of smart.
