Well Hamas has popular support in Gaza too. They really know how to pick their leaders.

Finished my ballot this morning and dropped it off at of the nearby locations when I went to get lunch. Our polls close at 7 p.m. MST.

No. 700 at 2:17 p.m. local time. No waiting at my neighborhood precinct. A gray and now rainy day here in Minnesota. Temps in the mid 40s.

I'm afraid Harris is going to lose because morons think Trump will be nicer to Gaza, and don't realize inflation was an inevitable by-product of the massive bipartisan efforts (often Trump-supported and signed) made in 2020-2021 to keep our economy from completely collapsing despite turning the whole thing off for six months. Jesus, one of Trump's final acts was pushing for more government bailout check money to try to swing the Georgia runoffs.

I feel like 4 p.m. is the hour every presidential cycle when Dems are universally, "OMG LOOK AT THIS TURNOUT." And then every election ends up ridiculously close.

I hope it's different this time in favor of Harris.

I'm envious - In the Houston suburbs, I think I had 60+ items to wade through.

Whenever someone says they're voting on the economy, I really wish there would be follow-ups. "What do you think trump will do to address your issues? What do you think of his plan, which likely will bring immediate economic hardship and higher inflation?"

On top of that, he did nothing on the economy in his first term other than coast on what Obama built and cut taxes for billionaires.

My ballot had about 8-10 of those for county judges. One year I went full anarchy and voted NO across the board, as if that was going to somehow solve something. I admittedly didn't do any research this year so I passed on my decision to retain judges.
