Florida’s supposedly trended redder based on population movement. There was no way that was going to flip this cycle.

 

And, like Texas, it keeps gaining EVs. Climb just gets a little steeper every cycle for Democrats. They need to flip a fast-growing state with 15+ EVs.

 

There is also a fair amount of voter disenfranchisement under DeSantis.

If there is a huge polling miss, she could perform better than Biden, but I have a feeling the polling miss may be more scatter shot.

 

Yeah, but it seems like she’s getting blown out worse than Biden.

The abortion and marijuana amendments look like they’re going to pass, though.

 

No it’s not. Christopher Bouzy has been promising a win there for weeks. Dammit.

Bouzy has no background in election analysis.

Florida is its own beast that lives outside of the rest of the election cycle.

 

I heard on one of the newscasts that the Harris campaign was sending in some support stand-ins (most likely celebs/other well-known supporters) to college campuses and other places with long lines in the swing states, trying to keep would-be voters patient and engaged, just so they stay in the lines and actually vote.

 

A guy on Twitter whose name I forget said that since Florida is America's premier retirement destination, it's not that surprising its electorate changes dramatically in a 4-8 year span.
